Job Title: Senior System Engineer/Administrator

Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite)

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Mid‑Level Systems Administrator/Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. This role is crucial for maintaining the stability, security, and efficiency of our on‑premises infrastructure. The successful candidate will leverage expertise in Windows Server environments, Active Directory, virtualization, and systems management tools to support our growing business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Active Directory & Identity Management: manage and troubleshoot AD DS, user accounts, group policies, DNS integration, and replication issues.
  • DNS & DHCP Administration: configure, maintain, and troubleshoot internal DNS and DHCP services.
  • Group Policy Management: develop, implement, and troubleshoot GPOs to enforce security settings and software deployments.
  • Certificate Services (PKI): administer and manage digital certificates.
  • System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM): deploy, manage, and troubleshoot operating system deployments, software distribution, patch management, and inventory collection.
  • On‑Premise Infrastructure Management: maintain Windows Server OS (2016‑2022) and underlying server hardware.
  • Power Shell Scripting & Automation: develop and maintain scripts for routine tasks and reporting.
  • VMware Virtualization: administer vSphere environment, including vCenter Server and ESXi hosts.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting: monitor system performance, respond to alerts, and perform root cause analysis.
  • Documentation: create and maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Collaboration & Support: work closely with other IT teams and end‑users to provide technical support.
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • 5–7 years experience in a Systems Administrator or Systems Engineer role.
  • Proven expertise managing and troubleshooting Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Experience with Group Policy creation, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands‑on experience with Microsoft SCCM (or MECM).
  • Good understanding of VMware vSphere and vCenter Server.
  • Intermediate to advanced Power Shell scripting capabilities.
  • Familiarity with on‑premises server hardware, storage, and networking fundamentals.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Skills (Nice‑to‑Haves)
  • Experience with PKI and certificate lifecycle management.
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
  • Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions (Veeam, Comm Cell).
  • Relevant industry certifications (MCSA/MCSE, VCP).
  • Experience with ITIL frameworks.
