  • Establish and enforce data ownership and stewardship models, including business glossary development and stewardship engagement.
  • Support or facilitate Data Governance Councils / Working Groups, including agenda planning, decision tracking, and governance adoption.
  • Support privacy and compliance initiatives (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA) including classification, access control practices, and traceability processes.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of Master Data Management (MDM) practices ensuring data consistency and integrity across systems.
  • Develop governance KPIs and reporting to measure governance effectiveness and maturity.

  • Hands‑on experience with one or more governance tools:

  • Working knowledge of cloud data ecosystems (Azure preferred) including Azure Data Factory, ADLS, Databricks, Synapse (or equivalent).
  • Strong skills in SQL and exposure to Python/R for data profiling and analysis.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive alignment across business and technical teams.
  • Ability to translate business needs into actionable governance requirements, workflows, and controls.
