The Director of IT will lead and personally deliver the company’s IT strategy, infrastructure, systems, and end-user support, including hands‑on execution of IT integration for mergers and acquisitions. This role is responsible for directly driving and, when needed, performing the assessment, configuration, transition, and stabilization of systems and platforms to support business operations across multiple locations. As a key member of the IT leadership team, the Director of IT will combine strategic leadership with day‑to‑day technical execution, ensuring technology solutions are secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals.

Key ResponsibilitiesIT Leadership & Strategy:
- Define and execute the IT and system integration strategy to support the company’s objectives and vision.
- Partner with executive leadership to plan and sequence technology investments that scale with growth.
- Establish governance, policies, and standards for technology, security, and data management.
Technology Integration and Migration:
- Hands‑on execution of technology integration for acquired locations, including assessing existing systems, migrating or standardizing applications and infrastructure, and ensuring operational continuity during and after transition.
- Manage third‑party integration partners and ensure timely, high‑quality delivery of system integrations.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets, while maintaining clear and effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Partner closely with HR, Operations, and Finance to support employee onboarding, system consolidation and operational alignment post‑acquisition.
- Continuously evaluate and refine integration and migration strategies to improve agility and alignment with business objectives.
- Lead the management, optimization, and maintenance of IT infrastructure to support integrated systems and applications.
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of critical IT systems and infrastructure.
Cybersecurity & Compliance:
- Develop and enforce security protocols for integrated systems, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of organizational data.
- Stay informed about compliance regulations and ensure systems and integrations meet applicable standards.
- Knowledge of SOC 2, NIST CSF, or similar security frameworks.
Operational Support & Training:
- Ability to provide all tiers of support, if needed (Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier
3). - Serve as the escalation point for executive and user support issues.
- Oversee ticketing and incident response through the MSP.
- Manage IT budget, assets, licensing, and vendor contracts.
- Develop and provide training for end‑users to optimize the usage of integrated systems and technology solutions.
Team & Culture:
- Foster a culture of security awareness and technology enablement.
- Communicate IT strategy and priorities clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 7+ years of progressive IT experience with strong hands‑on background in infrastructure, end‑user support, applications support and the ability to directly execute when outsourced IT providers are unable to meet timelines or service expectations (Healthcare experience is preferred).
- Experience working in a multi‑location healthcare company is preferred.
- Experience integrating fully acquired companies into an existing IT operating model, including supporting and stabilizing inherited systems where standardization is not immediately feasible.
- Hands‑on experience with Windows OS, Windows Server, SQL Server, Microsoft 365, Defender, Intune, Entra (Azure AD), and Google Work spaces.
- Hanads‑on experience with Apple platform, including MacOS, iOS, ABM, and MDM tools.
- Hands‑on experience with migrations of email, O365 and Google tenants, SharePoint, and file shares using migration tools such as Bit Titan, AvePoint, and Microsoft).
