Mint Dentistry is seeking a well‑rounded IT professional to join our growing team in a hybrid role that balances Tier 2 Support and Systems Administration responsibilities.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in both hands‑on support and backend systems management — ready to deepen experience with infrastructure while continuing to provide top‑tier technical support across a variety of platforms.
We’re looking for a motivated, service‑oriented individual with a solid foundation in Windows and Microsoft technologies, ideally with 5+ years of experience in an IT support or systems‑focused role. You’ll split your time between supporting end users and maintaining, configuring, and improving our systems, including servers, Active Directory, networking equipment, and other SaaS systems.
You’ll work on a wide range of technical challenges — from resolving escalated support issues to assisting with systems upgrades, automation projects, and infrastructure optimization. This role offers a strong pathway into more advanced systems work while keeping you closely engaged with the people and technology you support.
This role is based in Dallas, TX, and will require regular travel to local Mint Dentistry offices, including our corporate HQ and data center.

- Manage Multi‑Site Active Directory (Active/Active) supporting over 1,000 users at 50+ physical locations
- Maintain a fleet of 50+ Windows 2016/2019 servers — On‑Prem and Data Center based
- Administer SAN, clustering, and Hyper‑V environments
- Lead and track projects with other team members
- Maintain documentation and reporting (weekly progress reports, monitoring dashboards, incident logs)
- Work with the IT Manager to create strategic roadmap, DC DR/BCP plans, and rollout new initiatives
- Participate in on‑call rotation and perform maintenance after‑hours and on weekends
- Provide tier‑2 support: troubleshooting end‑user issues, managing help‑desk tickets, onboarding equipment, maintaining patching, and asset disposal
- Document processes and procedures, share knowledge, and mentor junior staff
- Manage monitoring, backup solutions, and enterprise security tools
- Travel to Mint Dentistry sites within the DFW and Houston metros as needed
- Proficient in Microsoft technologies and enterprise environments
- Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, and virtualization technologies
- Experience managing or supporting Windows servers 2016/2019, on‑prem and in the data center
- Hands‑on experience with SAN, clustering, and Hyper‑V
- Excellent communication, documentation, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team; strong prioritization and multi‑tasking
- Security‑mindset with a focus on data integrity and compliance
- 5+ years in a systems‑oriented IT role (Tier 2/Systems Administration preferred)
- Associate degree in an IT‑related field
- Certifications such as MCSE or other Microsoft credentials
- Experience in HIPAA environments
- Scripting and automation (Power Shell, Python, etc.)
- Virtual machine configuration and MySQL administration
