OpenShift Platform Lead

Job Description

Infosys is seeking an Open Shift Platform Lead who applies in-depth IT knowledge and experience towards gathering and analyzing business / application requirements. With the goal to design strategic target state architecture, using defined standards to maximize performance and capacity, while driving IT costs down. The candidate should have knowledge of integrating orchestration and automation to quickly deliver solutions.

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Dallas, TX or be willing to relocate to these areas. This position may require travel in the US.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Proven, hands‑on experience architecting and leading the migration of complex, enterprise applications to container platforms such as Open Shift and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of container‑native storage (CSI), networking, and security principles required for running mission‑critical stateful workloads in production.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools (e.g., Helm, Kustomize, Ansible) within a Kubernetes/Open Shift ecosystem.
• Demonstrated expertise in Oracle, SQL Server, Postgre
  
  SQL, and Mongo
  
  DB – with practical experience in high‑volume, mission‑critical environments.
• Hands‑on experience designing data replication, partitioning, sharding, indexing strategies, and stored procedures.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, data warehousing, and analytics platforms.

  SQL technologies, distributed systems, and microservices‑based architectures.
• Familiarity with Dev Ops practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and managed database services.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

• Understanding how application requirements determine infrastructure type and size, including High Availability and Disaster Recovery capabilities.
• Experience as a Systems Admin or Systems Engineer is preferred. Experience in root‑cause analysis techniques in a highly complex Data Center environment.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Ability to develop working relationships, manage multiple projects with different priorities.
• Team player with willingness to learn the latest technology, while taking initiative to master new tasks quickly.
• Public Cloud Certifications is a plus.
