The Dev Ops Engineer is responsible for the development and implementation of Dev Ops processes and tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software development, infrastructure, and operations. They will be responsible for working with developers and operations teams to ensure that software is built, deployed and monitored in a reliable and efficient manner.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement Dev Ops processes and tools
- Work with developers and operations teams to ensure that software is built, deployed and maintained in a reliable and efficient manner
- Automate tasks and processes to improve efficiency
- Manage platform infrastructure and application deployments
- Monitor and troubleshoot systems
- Stay up-to-date on the latest Dev Ops trends
- Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding
- Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures
- Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large-scale distributed software applications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in Dev Ops
- Strong understanding of software development, infrastructure, and operations
- Experience with Git and resolving build issues
- Experience with enforcing test coverage
- Experience with Dev Ops tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform
- Experience with configuring cloud services such as AWS Kafka MSK, S3
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with coordinating between multiple teams to resolve build issues
