Description

The Tax practice seeks a Director to lead tax technology and automation initiatives for both the practice and our clients. The role focuses on maximizing impacts of existing and emerging technologies, reducing data burdens, and delivering cost‑effective, efficient tax functions while staying ahead of digital tax trends.

How You Will Contribute
  • Drive strategic evaluation and transformation of tax and accounting processes, identifying opportunities for automation, standardization, and innovation.
  • Lead collaboration with executive stakeholders and subject matter experts to design, implement, and scale enterprise‑wide tax technology solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of technology development and implementation—from strategy and requirements definition through solution architecture, deployment, and post‑deployment optimization.
  • Champion the use of emerging technologies and data‑driven insights to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance across global tax operations.
  • Direct integration and analysis of complex tax data sets to enable advanced analytics, predictive insights, and informed decision‑making for leadership.
  • Elevate reporting and measurement frameworks to provide real‑time visibility into tax risks, opportunities, and operational effectiveness.
  • Mentor and develop high‑performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the tax technology function.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, Information Technology & Accounting, or a Master’s degree in a related field.
  • CPA, admission to the Bar, or other appropriate professional certification.
  • Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Dataverse, or Power Platform.
  • Strong problem‑solving and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Deep interest in technology and its application to tax and business processes.
  • Ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly.
  • Excellent communication and business writing skills.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.

Salary range: $130,000 – $175,000 annually, plus discretionary bonus.
