What does the Supervisor, University Relations & Early Talent Program do? (but not limited to)

The Supervisor, University Relations & Early Talent Program drives the strategy and execution of campus engagement programs to attract top early-career talent. This role leads a team of recruiters, manages partnerships with academic institutions, and oversees hiring events and internship programs to align with organizational workforce planning.

A key focus is building a sustainable pipeline of emerging healthcare professionals—including nursing, allied health, and administrative roles—to support long-term growth. Responsibilities include developing relationships with colleges, universities, and technical schools, and supporting initiatives such as scholarships, internships, and tuition reimbursement that reinforce our mission to deliver exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience in campus recruiting, university relations, or early talent program development—preferably in a healthcare or clinical setting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field. Or experience in lieu of education.
  • Proven experience building or scaling early talent programs from the ground up.
  • Prior leadership experience managing recruiters or recruiting programs.
  • Strong strategic thinking, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with both internal stakeholders and external academic partners.
  • Strong project management, communication, and event planning skills.
  • Proficiency with ATS/CRM systems and virtual recruiting platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience recruiting for clinical roles such as nursing, allied health, or medical technology.
  • Familiarity with healthcare education pipelines and accreditation standards.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare roles, credentialing pathways, and workforce development trends.
  • Experience supporting or managing scholarship and tuition reimbursement programs.
Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Program Development

  • Design and implement a comprehensive campus recruiting strategy aligned with business objectives and workforce planning.
  • Set annual goals for campus engagement, hiring events, and conversion metrics; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
  • Partner with HR leadership and business units to forecast early-career hiring needs and integrate campus recruiting into talent strategies.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and mentor a team of campus recruiters, providing guidance on sourcing strategies, event execution, and candidate experience.
  • Establish performance metrics and conduct regular check-ins to ensure accountability and professional growth.

Hiring Event Management

  • Oversee planning and execution of general hiring events (in-person and virtual) to enable high-volume and early-career hiring.
  • Manage logistics, marketing, and candidate engagement strategies; analyze outcomes and recommend improvements.

University Relations & Employer Branding

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with universities, colleges, and student organizations.
  • Represent the company at campus events and act as a brand ambassador.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop campaigns and materials that strengthen employer brand among students and graduates.

Recruitment & Candidate Engagement

  • Coordinate on-campus and virtual recruiting activities, including career fairs, information sessions, and networking events.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for early talent candidates, ensuring a high-touch, engaging experience.
  • Align sourcing strategies with hiring manager needs and organizational priorities.

Scholarship & Tuition Initiatives

  • Support administration and promotion of scholarship and tuition reimbursement programs.
  • Track participation, ROI, and impact on retention and hiring outcomes.
