About the Role – Physician Recruiter
As a Physician Recruiter at Zeal Medical Staffing
, you will serve as a trusted advisor to healthcare providers, guiding them through the recruitment and placement process while building long-term relationships. This role is ideal for a driven, relationship-oriented professional who thrives in a high-performance environment and enjoys owning their desk from sourcing through placement.
You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and placing qualified physicians, advanced practice providers and Dentists into permanent and locum tenens opportunities nationwide. Recruiters at Zeal operate with full ownership of their pipeline and are rewarded for performance, consistency, and results.
Role Responsibilities
- Source, recruit, and qualify physicians, advanced practice providers and Dentists through multiple channels, including cold outreach, referrals, and networking
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with providers by understanding their clinical goals, preferences, and career objectives
- Present and match providers to appropriate permanent and locum tenens opportunities
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from initial outreach through placement and follow-up
- Educate providers on compensation structures, contract terms, credentialing timelines, and assignment details
- Maintain accurate documentation and pipeline activity within the CRM
- Collaborate closely with sales, credentialing, and operations teams to ensure smooth placements
- Consistently meet or exceed recruiting activity and placement goals
- Represent Zeal Medical Staffing with professionalism, urgency, and integrity in all interactions
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in healthcare recruiting, staffing, or a related sales/recruiting environment preferred
- Experience recruiting physicians and/or advanced practice providers strongly preferred (locum tenens or permanent placement)
- Proven ability to build relationships through phone, text, and email outreach
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage a full recruitment desk independently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple active searches and provider pipelines simultaneously
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office or similar tools
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability
