Description
- Assume responsibility for the recruitment, interviewing, and employment processing of personnel for the Transportation Department. Conduct formal presentations and meetings with prospects.
- Cross-collaborate with HCM, Risk Management, DOT/D&A provider to ensure the candidate expeditiously moves through the pre-employment process.
- Coordinates new hire clearance and onboarding with HCM and internal stakeholders.
- Reviews candidate credentials to determine eligibility. Compile, maintain, file, and secure all physical and electronic employee records.
- Maintain hiring records for all staffing data and vacancies. Provide weekly reports.
- Review personnel allocations and make recommendations for staffing.
- Establish and foster collaborations with external partners vital to the department’s recruitment efforts.
- Utilize technology to research, collect data, analyze findings, and prepare reports to drive recruitment efforts. Develop recruitment strategies to ensure the department hires and retains quality drivers and monitors.
- Responsible for organizing and planning department job fairs and all recruiting initiatives. Create advertisement content in collaboration with the Communications department.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Preferred two years’ experience in recruitment, program, or initiative management, or directly related work
- Preferred thorough knowledge of Dallas ISD and its policies, preferred.
- Preferred experience with recruitment and hiring software – Talent Management System (TMS)
- Experience in human resources, recruiting, or marketing preferred
- Ability to use Microsoft Office and various other computer programs
- Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with diverse employee groups, administrators, and patrons
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
