The Impact You’ll Make Role

As a Technical Recruiter, you’ll partner closely with various hiring stakeholders to scale our R&D hiring. This unique role bridges the gap between early-career talent and experienced industry professionals. You will own the end-to-end strategy for our University/Campus programs while maintaining a consistent impact on our core technical hiring. You will:

  • Design and execute Nextdoor’s campus recruiting strategy, including the management of internship programs and New Grad hiring cycles
  • Lead the planning and execution of campus-specific programming, such as university tech talks, career fairs, and on-campus branding events
  • Work closely and cross-functionally with hiring managers to assess recruiting needs for both early-career and experienced industry roles
  • Build pipelines of qualified, high-caliber candidates using creative sourcing strategies across a diverse range of experience levels
  • Strategize and evaluate a variety of ways to engage talent pipelines and execute on referral generation, university partnerships, and sourcing campaigns
  • Utilize a data-driven approach to analyze, track, and communicate key hiring metrics for both seasonal campus cycles and industry roles
  • Manage the end-to-end "intern-to-full-time" conversion process, ensuring a high-touch and supportive experience for early-career talent
  • Deliver a great candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, tailoring your approach to meet the specific needs of students and industry veterans alike
What You’ll Bring To The Team
  • 5+ years of full cycle recruiting background supporting roles including but not limited to Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, Product Management, Design & Research
  • Proven experience in University/Campus Recruiting, including a deep understanding of the academic calendar and seasonal hiring rhythms
  • Experience building or managing campus programming, such as intern social calendars, mentorship structures, or diversity-focused university outreach
  • Strong ability to pivot between high-volume campus recruiting and targeted, niche industry sourcing
  • Strong interpersonal skills and great at building relationships with different types of stakeholders, from university career centers to senior engineering leadership
  • Efficiency and data-driven mindset: learns quickly, has the ability to triage pipeline data to uncover trends, and be able to pivot sourcing strategies as needed
  • Leads by example: inclusive, collaborative, self-directed, and highly motivated with a sense of urgency
  • Excellent communication skills: written, oral, in-person, and on the phone
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities as the recruiting season shifts
  • Eagerness to explore and apply AI and emerging technologies to reimagine how work gets done
