JOB SUMMARY

Manages, oversees, and is accountable for the recruitment process for faculty sourcing and recruitment activities for departments and centers at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Position is responsible for identifying areas of inefficiency and addressing and resolving issues. Assists, trains, and guides hiring managers on best hiring practices and providing thorough support throughout the recruitment process. This position will report directly to the Assistant Director of Academic Recruitment Services.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Required

  • Education
    Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or related field
  • Experience
    3 years full life cycle recruitment experience in any of the following areas: executive search, provider recruitment, or corporate recruitment.

Preferred

  • Experience
    Academic healthcare and science recruitment experience
  • Licenses and Certifications
    Physician/Provider Recruitment Professional (CPRP) Certification
JOB DUTIES
  • Facilitates recruitment activities, to include ongoing proactive sourcing of qualified applicants, screening of applicants, and talent delivery.
  • Provides advanced and efficient support to the search committee chairs, search committees, candidates, and external search firms (where applicable).
  • Develops, maintains, and monitors written recruitment processes and procedures, ensuring effective and efficient recruitment operations.
  • Prepares detailed search updates, attends meetings with the Manager, and presents to the Academic Affairs senior leadership, as needed.
  • Participates in recruitment activities such as internet searches and placement of initial introductory calls to potential candidates, makes follow‑up calls to candidates to ascertain level of interest, secures CV/resume and disseminates to appropriate individuals for initial screening; logs CV/resume in database file; assists in marketing and advertising of faculty positions.
  • Develops and executes appropriate sourcing plan.
  • Pre‑screens and qualifies candidates.
  • Maintains appropriate documentation, recruiting metrics and confidentiality.
  • Attends pertinent association meetings and job fairs to promote UTSW as an employer of choice.
  • Develops new recruiting sources.
  • Conducts post search reviews and creates recommendations reports to identify successful and unsuccessful search elements for ongoing process improvement.
  • Assists in projects as directed by the Manager.
  • Builds, develops, and grows any relationships vital to the overall success of Office of Academic and Physician Recruitment.
  • Occasional travel for recruitment purposes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
