Essential Job Functions
  • Accurately maintains requisitions and maintain a working knowledge of all position openings.
  • Screens applications, interviews, and evaluates capabilities of qualified applicants.
  • Arranges for interviews with management or supervisory staff, or peers as appropriate.
  • Ensures clear understanding of needs and assist in developing recruitment strategies.
  • Reviews and clarifies staffing needs with appropriate managers and supervisors in assigned areas.
  • Obtains references and all necessary credentials as appropriate.
  • Extends job offers on behalf of the hospital.
  • Assists with arranging pre‑employment health assessments.
  • Generates and maintains required records, reports and files.
  • Assists in preparing advertisements.
  • Maintains open and ongoing communication with the applicants, managers, and supervisors.
  • Maintains open and ongoing communication with HR Director and HR Staff.
  • Communicates the policies and benefits of the hospital to applicants.
  • Evaluates and communicates trends in recruitment and in the job market to recommend ideas for the development of strategies.
  • Advises and assists management staff in the application and interpretation of personnel policies, transfers, and terminations.
  • Plans, coordinates and participates in career day’s open houses and other recruitment related activities to attract qualified candidates.
  • Provides accurate information and data regarding primary areas of recruitment.
  • Attends required meetings and participates in recruitment related committees as requested.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Three plus years experience in a hospital-based HR; RN Recruiting Experience Preferred.
  • Strong internet recruiting background.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Windows environment, Excel and Word.
  • Multi‑tasked oriented.
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal/written).
  • Ability to lift and carry items from car to office for job fairs (requires lifting and bending in weights in the 30 pound range).
