- Accurately maintains requisitions and maintain a working knowledge of all position openings.
- Screens applications, interviews, and evaluates capabilities of qualified applicants.
- Arranges for interviews with management or supervisory staff, or peers as appropriate.
- Ensures clear understanding of needs and assist in developing recruitment strategies.
- Reviews and clarifies staffing needs with appropriate managers and supervisors in assigned areas.
- Obtains references and all necessary credentials as appropriate.
- Extends job offers on behalf of the hospital.
- Assists with arranging pre‑employment health assessments.
- Generates and maintains required records, reports and files.
- Assists in preparing advertisements.
- Maintains open and ongoing communication with the applicants, managers, and supervisors.
- Maintains open and ongoing communication with HR Director and HR Staff.
- Communicates the policies and benefits of the hospital to applicants.
- Evaluates and communicates trends in recruitment and in the job market to recommend ideas for the development of strategies.
- Advises and assists management staff in the application and interpretation of personnel policies, transfers, and terminations.
- Plans, coordinates and participates in career day’s open houses and other recruitment related activities to attract qualified candidates.
- Provides accurate information and data regarding primary areas of recruitment.
- Attends required meetings and participates in recruitment related committees as requested.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Three plus years experience in a hospital-based HR; RN Recruiting Experience Preferred.
- Strong internet recruiting background.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Windows environment, Excel and Word.
- Multi‑tasked oriented.
- Ability to adhere to deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal/written).
- Ability to lift and carry items from car to office for job fairs (requires lifting and bending in weights in the 30 pound range).
