Location: The Joule Dallas, TX

The Joule is housed in the historic 1920s neo-Gothic building at 1530 Main Street, originally the Dallas National Bank. It has a legacy of influencing the Dallas skyline during the city’s banking and energy booms, and has evolved into a Forbes four-star boutique hotel since opening in 2008. Through renovations and expansions, The Joule has become a cultural, shopping, and dining destination and a forerunner in the downtown Dallas renaissance.

• Greet and warmly welcome guests at the door.
• Escort guests to the dining room, and introduce them to their server.
• Answer the telephone, book reservations, and move tables together to accommodate large parties.
• Monitor the open dining sections of the restaurant for empty and cleaned tables.
• Estimate wait times for guests, and monitor the guest waiting list.
• Ensure all guest needs are met to the required standard.
• Correctly account for all payments taken.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by leader.

• High School diploma and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a positive, attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
• Flexible and long hours are sometimes required.
• Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to stand during the entire shift.
