Position Summary – Banquet Server

The Banquet Server is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service during meetings, events, and special functions. This role supports seamless event execution by following Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), maintaining service standards, and creating a welcoming, professional guest experience.

Responsibilities
  • Review and follow Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure accurate room setup and service execution
  • Set tables, chairs, linens, and serviceware correctly and uniformly according to event specifications
  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, courteous food and beverage service
  • Serve plated meals, buffet service, and beverages in accordance with service standards
  • Monitor guest needs and food and beverage levels throughout the event
  • Assist Banquet Captains with buffet setup, breakdown, and replenishment
  • Use proper in-room clearing techniques and aisle tray breakdown procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked service station during events
  • Collaborate with culinary and banquet teams to resolve service or food‑related issues
  • Complete assigned side work before and after events
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down function rooms and event spaces
  • Follow all guest check handling and cash procedures when serving à la carte or beverage orders
  • Maintain cleanliness of back qp‑of‑house (BOH) storage areas, service corridors, and walkways
  • Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Banquet Captain, Cabaret & Events Manager, or Food & Beverage Manager
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong guest service and hospitality skills content>
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to remain professional and composed in a fast‑paced event environment
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Food Safety Certification preferred; alcohol service certification a plus
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, and reach throughout service
