Medical Billing Specialist

Overview

We are a busy multi-physician OB/GYN office looking for a detail-oriented billing professional who understands the full revenue cycle and thrives in a team-focused, patient-centered environment.

• Submit clean claims electronically and review for accuracy
• Follow up on unpaid, denied, and underpaid claims
• Work insurance AR and patient AR
• Post insurance and patient payments accurately
• Review EOBs and ERAs for discrepancies
• Appeal denied claims and submit corrected claims
• Verify benefits and assist with patient responsibility estimates as needed
• Understand and apply OB global billing, surgical billing, and office visit coding
• Communicate clearly with patients regarding billing questions and balances
• Maintain compliance with payer guidelines and documentation standards
• Collaborate with providers and staff to resolve coding and billing issues

• Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience required
• OB/GYN or women’s health billing experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, modifiers, and insurance guidelines
• Experience with OB global billing packages highly preferred
• EMR experience required
• Athena experience a plus
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
• Professional communication skills with patients and staff
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently

Full-time
Monday – Friday
8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay: $23.41 - $28.20 per hour
