Overview

WATCHMAN (PRN) – The Tradition Senior Living, a Texas-based luxury senior living organization serving residents across Dallas, Houston, and Fort Worth. Our communities offer Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. We are currently seeking a Watchman at our Dallas - Prestonwood community. The Watchman is responsible for preventing illegal activity and protecting the community, guests, and residents. The Watchman enforces community policies related to security, exercises discretion in granting entry/exit, and conducts screenings to help ensure that individuals with unlawful intent are not allowed on the premises.

The Watchman reports directly to the Concierge Director who oversees the Concierge department and day-to-day community operations.

Responsibilities
  • Arrive to work on time and maintain regular attendance with minimal absences.
  • Complete an hour-by-hour log and maintain daily activity records.
  • Routinely inspect the parking garage area for suspicious activity.
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies in the parking garage; take charge when necessary.
  • Direct guests and provide approachable, knowledgeable guidance as the first point of contact for visitors.
  • Deliver daily status updates to the executive director, documenting observations and developments around the community.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the executive director.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and competence for assigned responsibilities.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Energetic demeanor with a caring, compassionate attitude.
  • Sound organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
