Community Options, Inc. is a national non‑profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states.
We are now hiring a Full‑Time Level of Need (LON) Specialist to provide support in Dallas, TX
. The Level of Need (LON) Specialist is responsible for ensuring the individuals in our care receive the support and services required per their level of need. This person will be responsible for assessing the LON of individuals and providing recommendations to maintain their required Level of Care (LOC).
Starting Pay
: $60,000 per year
- Complete Level of Need (LON)/Level of Care (LOC) increases, Intellectual Disability and related condition (/RC) assessments, and inventory for client and Agency Planning (ICAP) bump packets
- Submit LON increase request packets for changes in the required services and support
- Create process tracking to assess and document the need for LON increases
- Audit LON documentation to ensure documentation aligns with required support and services
- Lead and participate in LON reviews and appeals to maintain an individual’s LON funding
- Review several factors including incidents, injuries, behaviors, observations, evaluations, and staffing to determine the appropriate Level of Need (LON) for individuals in our care
- Responsible for utilization management and review
- Provide training on accurately documenting information for LON bump packet submissions
- Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
- High school diploma or GED with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
- Excellent auditing, analytical, and reporting skills
- Proficient with preparing and submitting documentation for review by regulatory agencies
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and Excel
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Experience using the CARE system
