Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Mental Health Professional delivers exceptional, patient-focused care by providing supervised mental health services to patients and their loved ones.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct one-on-one, group, and family psycho educational and process groups.
  • Develop treatment plans and attend treatment planning meetings and reviews on an ongoing basis.
  • Assess environment and patient’s safety status and report/respond to actual and potential safety issues or changes in the patient’s condition.
  • Identify risk factors, screening criteria, and interventions for patients with special precautions (e.g., suicide, homicide, falls, elopement).
  • Complete assessments, group notes, and all other documentation promptly and in compliance with requirements, as appropriate to scope.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to assess and coordinate patients’ discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge.
  • Conduct post-discharge follow-up as indicated.
Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Master’s Degree – REQUIRED.
  • Provisional Licensure may be REQUIRED – LPC-A/LMSW/ETC.
