POSITION OVERVIEWThe Licensed Mental Health Provider with a specialty in Chemical Dependency is responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based mental health and substance use disorder treatment services. This role involves clinical assessment, diagnosis, individualized treatment planning, and delivering a range of therapeutic interventions to individuals and groups affected by chemical dependency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Clinical Assessment & Diagnosis- Conduct comprehensive mental health and substance use assessments, including diagnostic interviews, screening tools, mental status examinations and collateral information gathering.
- Formulate accurate DSM-5 diagnoses for mental health disorders and substance use disorders.
- Facilitate drug education and DWI standardized groups in accordance with TDLR requirements.
- Conduct intake assessments for juvenile offenders and adults seeking public safety employment
- Maintain timely, accurate, and thorough clinical documentation in accordance with all organizational policies, ethical guidelines, and state/federal regulations.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA/confidentiality standards.
- Participate in clinical supervision and case consultation meetings.
- Track client progress using designated reporting methods.
- Master’s degree in a mental health field (e.g., Social Work, Counseling, Psychology) from an accredited university.
- Current, unrestricted professional license (e.g., LPA OR LPC) in Texas.
- Specialized certification or licensure in chemical dependency (e.g., LCDC) OR 1 year of experience working with chemical dependency population is required
- Preference will be given for certified TDLR Instructors.
- Minimum of 1 year of post-licensure clinical experience, with a significant focus on treating substance use disorders.
- Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based substance use treatment modalities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Mac OS/iOS Software proficiency highly preferred.
- Google Workspace experience is highly preferred, but not required.
Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Chief of Mental Health
SALARY & HOURSSalary Range: $42,000-$48,000 annually, commensurate with experience and licensure. A comprehensive benefits package is included, which features:

Hours: This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. The role offers a hybrid work model: 3 days in-office and 2 days remote. Current office hours are Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.
- 4 p.m. and Fridays, 9 a.m.
-2 p.m. Hours are subject to change. There is no requirement for weekend or holiday work.
Interviews will be scheduled for March 2026. Anticipated start date of position is April 1, 2026.
