Provides direction and oversight to designated Case Aides staff by demonstrating competence in the job duties of Case Aides; provides daily supervision, monitoring, reporting, and technical support services to clients; appropriate records in addition to ongoing written and verbal communication with clinical and other professional staff in relationship to daily client activities; performs crisis intervention counseling when needed; works with individuals and groups to develop life management skills;
facilitates an emotional and physical environment conducive to enhancing positive client morale and stabilization; reports pertinent information to the Case Aide Supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibilities (40%)Supervises assigned Case Aide staff; assigns the staff their daily tasks and ensures that the incoming Shift Coordinator has all the information needed before the start of the shift; completes weekly shift schedules, ensuring staff to client ratios are in accordance with coverage requirements; schedules and monitors work in process and upon completion for compliance with established program policies and procedures.
Monitors Case Aide staff time and attendance; ensures that staff assigned breaks and are following proper procedure for clocking in and out on time; conducts performance evaluations and provides input to Case Aide Supervisor on makes hiring/firing recommendations.
Ensures staff deliver trauma competent services in a manner that reflects The Salvation Army’s mission and core values.
Maintains the staff log books and sees they are kept up to date as to keep the integrity of all paper work used on a daily basis; assures that staff maintains the integrity of all shift paperwork, that it is done correctly on a daily basis.
Conducts new hire training and ongoing training as needed for Case Aide staff to ensure compliance with contract and program guidelines.
Monitoring Responsibilities (40%)Monitors the activities of the residents ensuring safety and compliance with community guidelines and program expectations; checks the security of all windows and doors; monitors cameras and makes periodic rounds of entire facility; records any unique situations occurring on assigned shift; prepares incident reports.
Monitors the self- administration of medication; administers breathalyzer tests and urinalysis tests to program clients as needed; completes sexual offender registry checks at intake.
Responds to emergencies in a calm manner and initiates appropriate corrective actions in accordance with established policies and procedures; provides necessary crisis intervention; ensures 24-hour monitoring of clients; informs assigned Case Management Specialist or Case Aide Supervisor of special problems, needs, etc.
Works with individuals and groups as needed to enhance social skills and the ability to enjoy and function within a group living situation.
Inspects program area daily; provides individual instruction or correction to clients regarding proper use of the facility as needed; reports damage or other maintenance needs to Case Aide Supervisor.
Serves as advocate for victims at the hospital or Police Department; drives a vehicle to transport clients as needed.
Assists in serving client’s meals.
Assigns housekeeping and other tasks to residents; ensures that clients perform assigned house duties in the proper manner; ensures compliance with house rules and regulations.
Administrative Responsibilities (20%)Completes required paperwork representing client intake for the day; inputs data into the HMIS in order to maintain computer records and generate client lists.
Maintains client and program records daily; submits required reports and statistics; prepares written incident reports.
Documents and monitors clients self-administration of medication as prescribed and in accordance with Shelter Care policies and procedures.
Performs data entry and light typing as required.
Other ResponsibilitiesParticipates in required continuing educational programs.
Transports clients to school and/or childcare in Salvation Army vehicle, as needed.
Maintains inventory of office, cleaning, and other necessary supplies; requisitions supplies through Case Aide Supervisor as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
