Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, Texas 75231
Work hours: Full-Time Monday-Friday – 9:30am-6:00pm.
Department Highlights- Fast-Paced, high-complexity

- Up to date instrumentation and automation
- High School Diploma or Equivalent REQUIRED
- Associate’s degree preferred
- Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
- PBT(ASCP) - Phlebotomy Technician upon hire preferred.
- Three years’ experience in a medical setting REQUIRED
- 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
- Customer Service experience preferred
- Anatomic Pathology lab experience preferred
- Follows laboratory procedures for handling unacceptable specimens
- Resolves pending specimen issues
- Coordinates timed, routine, ASAP and STAT draws to prevent multiple sticks to the patient and to prevent excessive blood volume draws.
- Participates in orientation and training of new employees and students
- Participates in system, entity or departmental performance improvement activities, internal laboratory committees, professional organizations or hospital sponsored community service activities.
- Reviews physician orders to ensure all tests are ordered in LIS
- Accurately enters client information and test orders into LIS Restock supplies before and after shift
- Notify supervisor when supplies are low
- Performs assigned daily/weekly/monthly maintenance
