Our Clinical Dietitians collaborate as a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide patients high-quality medical nutrition therapy following the Nutrition Care Process. This Dietitian will work with adult patients and is seeking someone available for 2-3 days per week, with weekend rotation and some availability during weekdays.

• Identify patients at nutritional risk based on established criteria
• Evaluate age-specific, developmental and disease-specific nutritional needs of patients
• Develop and implement nutritional plan of care
• Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness and outcomes of medical nutrition therapy interventions
• Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and families
• Serve as preceptor to Dietetic Interns
• Participate in research opportunities and promote evidence-based practice
• Participate in department and hospital-wide committees and community events to promote medical nutrition therapy
• Serve as a resource to physicians and other allied health staff
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Bachelor s Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition
• 1-2 years of hospital clinical dietetic experience highly preferred
• Current Registration as a Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or registry eligible (must receive registration within 90 days of hire)
• Must be licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services (licensure must be obtained within 1 year)
