Sign‑on bonus: $10k and relocation bonus / lump sum (as applicable).

Location: Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC) – Downtown Dallas, Texas.

Candidate requirement: MRI certification or experience.

Shift: Full‑time, Friday – Sunday 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM.

Job Summary

The Multimodality Technologist, under general supervision of a Radiologist, performs imaging procedures in two or more disciplines (XR, MG, US, CT, MR, Nuclear Medicine or IR) on ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a physician or other licensed provider for the diagnosis of disease and injury, in accordance with established protocols.

Essential Functions
  • Perform high‑quality multimodality procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner and maintain production and quality by following established standards and procedures.
  • Understand radiation dose reference levels, monitoring, and actions if the estimated dose exceeds set reference levels, including patient follow‑up.
  • Understand and use iSTAT point‑of‑care testing for creatinine levels, if applicable.
  • Use AIDET communication to identify patient service requirements, ensure correct exam, establish rapport with patients and others, and assess patient tolerance.
  • Prepare patient and area for the procedure by positioning, utilizing immobilization devices, moving equipment into the specified position, and using appropriate settings and exposure factors.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to safety, infection‑control, drug and radiation policies, protocols, and techniques; use proper sterile techniques when preparing and performing invasive procedures and maintain hand hygiene.
  • Maintain equipment and work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards; work with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal operational capabilities; report issues to management or the appropriate department; assist in maintaining supplies inventory; screen individuals entering the department per approved policies and procedures.
  • Obtain, verify, and maintain all relevant documentation such as requisition/chart, patient history, pregnancy status, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain medical imaging records in the appropriate systems according to department policies and procedures.

  • Maintain a calm and helpful attitude, even under stress, and take appropriate steps to resolve issues.
  • Administer first aid and use the emergency cart effectively.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by limiting wait times, providing courteous service, remaining professional, reviewing patient satisfaction scores, and developing action plans when required.
  • Maintain current knowledge, continued education, and skills appropriate for all age groups.
  • Serve as a preceptor by providing quality training to new teammates or current teams about new services and initiatives.
  • Take calls if required.

Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited program.
  • Experience: 1 year of experience.

  • Medical Radiologic Tech (MRT)

  • Nuclear Cardiology Tech (NMTC-NCT)
