About the Team

The Practice Coordinator works onsite with the Practice Medical Director, clinicians, and a Clinical Performance Nurse.

About the Role

The Practice Coordinator oversees daily administrative operations of the Sound site practice, maintaining a visible presence with the practice team and multiple hospital departments. The role supports workflow improvement, communication, and standards, and leads initiatives for operational, financial, and clinical performance.

This full‑time, onsite role has no travel requirements.

Responsibilities Practice Operations and Support
  • Provide general administrative support to the medical practice under the direction of the Medical Director and Practice Administrator.
  • Manage office functions, including meeting management, office systems, supplies, and practice events.
  • Collaborate with the Practice Management Team to develop and maintain site practice policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate daily patient census/reconciliation and multidisciplinary rounds as applicable.
  • Enable patient care by coordinating home‑health orders, responding to medical‑records requests, and scheduling PCP follow‑up appointments, including death certificates.
  • Execute all recruiting activities, coordinating onsite interviews, and promoting a positive candidate experience.
  • Oversee onboarding and orientation for new clinicians, locums, and ambassadors.
  • Develop and maintain practice orientation checklists and policies.
  • Ensure licensed providers complete recredentialing, reappointments, and maintain state license compliance.
  • Ensure clinicians obtain hospital privileging and payer enrollment before patient care.
  • Maintain the relationship with the hospital Medical Staff Office and resolve barriers to on‑time starts.
  • Ensure billing and documentation compliance for the practice.
  • Ensure clinicians complete mandatory compliance training, remediation, and timely query responses.
  • Participate in all Sound medical‑group training relevant to the role.
  • Support clinicians in annual benefits open enrollment and HR system updates for life‑event changes.
  • Provide general support for all Sound software applications.
  • Create and maintain group norms, visual management boards, and team communication tools.
  • Encourage participation in Sound bedside/colleague engagement surveys.
Staffing Operations
  • Create and optimize clinical schedules, ensuring accurate shift documentation and payroll processing; maintain practice sustainability with 120‑day advance planning.
  • Review and validate shift and productivity data for monthly payroll processing.
Client Retention
  • Act as the administrative liaison to hospital executives and staff for hospital needs.
  • Coordinate monthly and quarterly meetings and events, including scheduling, agendas, room/material facilitation, and minutes.
  • Refresh client‑facing materials with current Sound standards.
  • Maintain requested reports and trackers.
  • Ensure accuracy of the PCP database and distribute PCP lists.
