St. Philip & St. Augustine Catholic Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Health Coordinator and Safe Environment Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting the health and safety of students, staff, and the broader school community. This role will oversee health programs, coordinate health services, and ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all students.

Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse student populations are essential. Bilingual proficiency is required to effectively serve our multicultural community.

* Key Responsibilities:

**

– Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure student health needs are met.

– Monitor and enforce school health policies and procedures, including immunization and emergency protocols.

– Collaborate with school leadership to ensure a safe physical and emotional environment for all students.

– Serve as the point of contact for health-related inquiries from students, parents, and staff.

– Conduct regular assessments of the school environment and make recommendations for improvements to safety protocols.

– Provide training for staff on health and safety topics, including first aid, CPR, and child protection.

– Support the implementation of policies and practices that promote a healthy, inclusive, and respectful school climate.

– Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all relevant privacy regulations.

– Participate in school health committees and other relevant working groups.

* Qualifications:

– Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) required.

– Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse students, staff, and families.

– Knowledge of health and safety regulations, child development, and best practices in health promotion.

– Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

– A commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive school environment.

– Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus.
