Position Overview
We’re looking for a Government and Public Safety Policy Intern to help us stay on top of safety-related legislation, smart city initiatives, and local government activity in Dallas and across Texas. This role directly informs our product direction and strategic decisions. You’ll gain hands‑on experience at the intersection of civic policy, technology, and public safety innovation.
What You’ll Do
- Research safety initiatives, policies, and legislation in Dallas and across Texas
- Track city council meetings, smart city programs, and funding opportunities
- Summarize key findings into clear, actionable briefs for the founder
- Identify partnership or grant opportunities tied to safety, data, or civic engagement
- Contribute insights that shape product features and outreach strategies
What We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Urban Studies, or related field
- Strong research, analysis, and writing skills
- Interest in civic innovation, public safety, or smart cities
- Self‑starter who thrives in fast‑moving, early‑stage environments
