Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring financial records, analyzing data, and ensuring accuracy in reporting according to accounting standards. You will also collaborate closely with the Controller to maintain compliance and enhance financial processes.

Responsibilities:

- Manage financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.

- Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, and accrual schedules during month-end close activities.

- Assist in drafting monthly financial statements, providing analysis, and explaining variances compared to forecasts and previous years.

- Oversee fixed asset records and depreciation schedules, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.

- Conduct internal audits and maintain documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury.

- Support the improvement of financial processes by utilizing existing software and recommending enhancements.

- Research and address financial inquiries from management, delivering timely and accurate responses.

- Ensure compliance with established accounting principles and organizational standards.

- Participate in special projects and provide support to the accounting team as needed.

- Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency of financial reporting processes. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.

- 1-3 years of experience in a staff accounting role.

- Advanced understanding of accounting principles and the ability to interpret financial data.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and spreadsheets.

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- High level of integrity and commitment to ethical standards.

- Experience with Aspire and Acumatica financial software is a plus.
