Manager, Mortgage Operations - Warehouse Lending Job Description
Plains Capital Bank is seeking to hire a Manager, Mortgage Operations - Warehouse Lending.
The Manager, Mortgage Operations - Warehouse Lending in our National Warehouse Lending division is responsible for effectively managing the day-to-day operations of the division and a large staff of individuals, each with multiple responsibilities. This Manager, Mortgage Operations - Warehouse Lending will ensure efficient daily operation of the division while effectively communicating with the department, leadership, and external customers.
Responsibilities- Manages the day to day operations of the National Warehouse Lending funding, auditing, wire confirmations, shipping, and accounting.
- Directs the assignment of duties and responsibilities to ensure productivity is achieved.
- Recommends and implements operational services, processes, policies and procedures.
- Identifies and recommends processes to minimize risk exposure.
- Oversees and makes recommendations of new credit and credit line increases.
- Assists in developing and implementing enhancements to improve effectiveness and efficiency of services and systems.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with customers and relationship managers.
- Evaluates clients on a monthly basis and provides recommendations on their performance (aging, exceptions, investors and loan purchase).
- Creates and monitors various production and risk management reports.
- Performs daily reconciliations and cash management of warehouse lines.
- Ensures department is SOX compliance and provides SOX narrative updates.
- Oversees with the process of hiring, completing performance evaluations and termination of staff if necessary.
- Coordinates cross training of staff to ensure completion of tasks.
- Effectively manages all third party technology and quality control vendors.
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Must be able to report to our Republic Center office located at 325 N. St. Paul Street, Dallas, TX 75201, without the need for relocation assistance.
- High School diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in the residential mortgage field with at least one year in an office and customer service environment required.
- 1-3 years of previous management experience required.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of residential mortgage lending, processing, funding and loan documents.
- Strong understanding of FHA, VA, and conventional residential mortgage lending as well as automated underwriting systems such as Desktop Underwriting and Loan Prospect.
- Professional demeanor and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
- Must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise solid judgment to complete assigned tasks.
- Strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Must be detail oriented and exhibit the ability to read, input and translate data with extreme accuracy.
- Strong PC skills including word processing and spreadsheets via Microsoft Office products as well as custom applications and systems.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
