The Finance Summer Intern will support the Corporate Finance team through core accounting processes, financial analysis, and reconciliation projects. This internship provides hands-on exposure to corporate accounting operations and financial controls within a structured business environment. This internship is structured as a project-based experience to be completed within the 12-week program. This position is located at the Dallas Corporate office and is an onsite internship opportunity.

This is not a remote role.

The selected intern will present project outcomes at our annual Intern Expo Day on Wednesday, August 5, 2026.

Program Dates: Monday, May 18, 2026 – Friday, August 7, 2026
Length: 12 Weeks
Schedule: Full-time, hourly
Required: Must be available for the full program duration and attend/present at Intern Expo Day

Project Scope & Responsibilities

The Finance Summer Intern will support the following initiatives:

Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Assist with preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Identify discrepancies and support resolution of reconciling items
  • Ensure documentation aligns with internal financial control standards
Journal Entry Creation
  • Assist in preparing and posting journal entries
  • Support month-end close activities
  • Ensure accuracy and proper account coding in alignment with GAAP principles
GRIR Analysis & Write-Off Support
  • Perform analysis of Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GRIR) accounts
  • Identify aging items and assist in researching discrepancies
  • Support write-off recommendations and documentation
Intercompany Reconciliation
  • Assist with intercompany account reconciliations
  • Support resolution of intercompany discrepancies
  • Collaborate with internal business units to ensure accurate reporting
Project Impact

A successful internship will:

  • Improve accuracy and timeliness of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support efficient month-end close processes
  • Strengthen intercompany reconciliation controls
  • Deliver measurable financial process improvements for presentation at Intern Expo
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly
