Position: FINANCE INTERN

The Finance Summer Intern will support the Corporate Finance team through core accounting processes, financial analysis, and reconciliation projects. This internship provides hands‑on exposure to corporate accounting operations and financial controls within a structured business environment. This internship is structured as a project‑based experience to be completed within the 12‑week program. This position is located at the Dallas Corporate office and is an onsite internship opportunity.

This is not a remote role.

The selected intern will present project outcomes at our annual Intern Expo Day on Wednesday, August 5, 2026
.

Project Scope & Responsibilities Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Assist with preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Identify discrepancies and support resolution of reconciling items
  • Ensure documentation aligns with internal financial control standards
Journal Entry Creation
  • Assist in preparing and posting journal entries
  • Support month‑end close activities
  • Ensure accuracy and proper account coding in alignment with GAAP principles
GRIR Analysis & Write‑Off Support
  • Perform analysis of Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt (GRIR) accounts
  • Identify aging items and assist in researching discrepancies
  • Support write‑off recommendations and documentation
Intercompany Reconciliation
  • Assist with intercompany account reconciliations
  • Support resolution of intercompany discrepancies
  • Collaborate with internal business units to ensure accurate reporting
Project Impact
  • Improve accuracy and timeliness of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support efficient month‑end close processes
  • Strengthen intercompany reconciliation controls
  • Deliver measurable financial process improvements for presentation at Intern Expo
Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly
