Steven Douglas is engaged exclusively on an exceptional Director of Finance role in the Dallas, Texas area. This role is on-site.

This Company is growing through both M&A and organic growth. In this role, you will be responsible for the creation of divisional business plans, budgets, forecasting and quarterly updates, as well as overseeing the accuracy of the accounting and internal financial reporting. The position must help to ensure the financial integrity of the division in all aspects of reporting and the adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company accounting policies, preparation of annual business plans, safeguarding of assets.

Responsibilities
  • Responsibility for aiding in cost control in the divisions assigned
  • Provide direction to develop and implement procedures that impact budgets, costs and strategic goals
  • Preparation and review of proformas, financial statements, forecasts and G&A expenditures
  • Prepare margin analysis and pricing proformas
  • Communicate with investors as they perform their due diligence and underwriting of prospective projects.
  • Facilitate trailing costs accruals
  • Collaborating with the Division President and other leaders to increase overall division performance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Industry requirements:
    Construction, Contracting, Building Supplies may be considered.
  • Thorough knowledge of financial operations
  • Exceptional communication skills -- both written and verbal
  • Comfortable presenting ideas and solutions to leadership and key business partners
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
