Accounting & Financial Operations
~Assist the Controller in managing the accounting department in the daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash management.
~Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules.
~Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accurate financial results. Assist Controller with capitation payments, risk adjustment and IBNR accruals and reconciliations.

Prepare internal management reports and support external financial reporting.
~Assist with timely CMS and state regulatory filings.
~Assist Controller to support annual external audits and regulatory examinations by preparing schedules and responding to requests.
~Help ensure compliance with internal controls.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
~Provide variance analysis on administrative costs, medical expenses, and PMPM trends.
~Assist in preparing analyses of key drivers impacting MLR, Star Rating changes, and revenue adjustments.

Provide training and development opportunities to build team skills.
~Assist the Controller and serve as a liaison between accounting and other departments (claims, actuarial, compliance, IT) as indicated by the Controller.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance;
Strong Excel skills.
