Vaco has partnered with one of our investment management & advisory clients looking to onboard a Fund Analyst due to the growth of the department. Analysts will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational activities of investment funds, ensuring accuracy in reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and efficient execution of transactions.

This is a client-facing role and candidates need to be very polished as they will be interacting with high-net worth individuals, participating in internal calls, and working with internal BD team as well.

Compensation: $90-110K + bonus

Day-to-day
  • Support daily fund operations, including trade processing, cash management, and position reconciliation
  • Monitor fund activity to ensure transactions are executed and recorded accurately
  • Coordinate with custodians, administrators, and brokers to resolve discrepancies
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of cash, positions, and transactions
  • Review NAV calculations and validate fund accounting outputs from third-party administrators
  • Assist in preparation of investor reports, capital statements, and performance analytics
  • Ensure timely settlement of trades and proper recording of investment activity
  • Monitor cash balances and liquidity needs across funds
  • Investigate and resolve trade breaks and failed settlements
  • Ensure adherence to fund governing documents, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests
  • Assist in maintaining and enhancing internal controls and operational procedures
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce risk
  • Assist with system implementations, automation initiatives, and process documentation
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 1-4 years of experience in fund operations, fund accounting, asset management, or financial services
  • Understanding of fund structures (hedge funds, private equity, mutual funds) and investment products
  • Familiarity with NAV calculations, trade lifecycle, and reconciliation processes
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with fund accounting systems or ERP platforms preferred
