Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

Dallas, TX – 4 days in office (WFH Fridays)

One of Vaco’s publicly‑traded, global industrial and manufacturing clients is looking to fill a senior role on the team that is a blended role between SEC reporting and GL accounting.

Compensation $90-100K + bonus

• Perform and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
• Maintain and ensure accuracy of general ledger accounts in accordance with US GAAP.
• Analyze financial results and provide variance explanations to management.
• Support implementation and documentation of internal controls to comply with SOX requirements.
• Assist in preparation of SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and related disclosures.
• Compile and validate financial data for footnotes, MD&A sections, and supporting schedules.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
• Support XBRL tagging and review for accuracy and completeness.
• Participate in special projects, process improvements, and system enhancements.
• Support technical accounting research and documentation of accounting positions.
• Assist with annual audit, quarterly reviews, and other compliance-related activities.
