Mortgage Loan Closer

We're seeking an experienced Mortgage Closer to join our team and play a key role in delivering a smooth, accurate, and timely loan closing experience. In this role, you'll assemble, prepare, and review critical closing documents, collaborate closely with Title Companies, and serve as the primary point of contact once a loan is approved to close.

• Review file documentation for completeness and accuracy to meet compliance standards with company policies, procedures and product guidelines.
• Prepare legal loan documents for closing such as the Note, Security Instrument and Closing Disclosure.
• Complete a check and balance on the Closing Disclosure prior to approval to close.
• Effectively communicate by phone, in person, and in writing with the Title Company, Loan Officer, Processor and Agents by providing accurate time frames, updates and status on current loans.
• Review loan documentation prior to funding to ensure that proper approvals are obtained and proper documents are enclosed with required signatures, notary stamps and dates.
• Ensure proper delivery method of loan funds to the Title Company for disbursement.
• Balance funding worksheet with Title Company and Settlement Agents.

Required:

• 2+ years of Mortgage Closer experience
• Strong ability to read and interpret correspondence, procedure manuals, agreements, and memos
• Proficiency with banking and loan systems
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and strong conflict-resolution abilities
• Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively with team members at all levels
