About

The Role

The Director, Commercial Finance for Toptracer serves as the primary finance partner to the GM and leadership team of a global, high‑growth technology business. This role owns the financial narrative, operating model, and performance management for Toptracer—driving clarity on margins, growth investments, and business economics while ensuring strong forecasting discipline and decision support across regions. You’ll translate complex global data into actionable insights that improve profitability, capital allocation, and long‑term value creation.

Key Responsibilities Performance Insights
  • Transform data and information into insights that inform high‑level strategy and tactical decision‑making in support of revenue and profitability targets.
  • Conduct in‑depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, profitability assessments, and scenario modeling.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the entire P&L (sales, COGS, labor, other operating expenses) and communicate actionable insights to senior leadership and the sales organization.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to monitor and drive business economics.
Budget Management
  • Work closely with the Toptracer leadership team to establish targets, monitor actual performance, conduct monthly variance analysis, and recommend cost control measures and sales‑driving initiatives.
  • Ensure compelling unit economics while aligning financial planning with strategic growth objectives.
Financial Planning and Forecasting
  • Lead the development and execution of the financial planning process, including annual budgets, short‑and‑long‑term forecasts, and strategic plans.
Business Partnership
  • Serve as a key thought partner to cross‑functional teams (e.g., sales, operations, marketing), providing strategic guidance and financial analysis support.
  • Collaborate to evaluate the impact of growth initiatives and ensure financial alignment throughout the organization.
  • Foster a collaborative culture that drives business performance.
Continuous Improvement
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial planning processes, tools, forecasting, reporting methodologies, and analysis techniques.
  • Automate reporting, implement best practices, and leverage emerging technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Team Leadership
  • Provide proactive leadership, developing team members while influencing cross‑functional partners and key stakeholders as an effective advocate for change and growth.
What You Bring
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including commercial finance, FP&A, or business‑partnering roles.
  • 8+ years experience in global organizations with multiple currencies, markets, and revenue streams.
