Overview

Ashford Inc., the asset management advisor for Ashford Hospitality Trust (AHT) and Braemar Hotels & Resorts (BHR), seeks a Capital Management Senior Analyst to join our team in Dallas, TX. The role supports the Senior Vice President of Capital Management in analysis, forecasting, and strategy of AHT's and BHR's capital expenditure annual allocation of approximately $200mm.

Responsibilities
  • Produce in Excel pro forma models, ROI analyses, and performance metrics
  • Underwrite property-level and portfolio-wide Cap Ex investments across 85+ hotels, aligning portfolio-wide Cap Ex with strategic asset management objectives to support executive decision making
  • Produce and distribute monthly reporting to senior executives and develop quarterly earnings materials and board summaries, highlighting capital deployment and project performance
  • Support acquisition/disposition and financing activity through detailed Cap Ex underwriting tied to capital spend forecasts and brand commitments
  • Partner with asset managers and project managers to define comprehensive project scopes and model expected post-renovation performance, including unlevered IRR and ROI analysis
  • Assist in developing hotel annual capital plans to maximize asset value and guest satisfaction
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field (accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, etc.)
  • A career interest in the Real Estate or Hospitality Industry
  • Demonstrated ability to make recommendations to senior management on financial performance projections
  • Proficiency working with complex Excel-based models
  • 4+ years of strong experience as an Analyst or Associate
  • Ability to build high-quality, attractive PowerPoint presentations
  • Investigative and analytical curiosity and a desire to succeed
  • Solid analytical skills, detail-oriented with the ability to collect, compile, and interpret data
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
  • Ability to work as a team member
