The Assistant Accounts Receivable Manager supports the day-to-day operations of the AR department, assisting with credit management, payment processing, and customer account maintenance. This role works closely with the CFO and other AR Leads to help improve workflows, resolve account discrepancies, and ensure timely collections. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to grow into a leadership role while contributing to strong customer relationships and healthy cash flow.
This role reports directly to the CFO and is based onsite 5 days a week at our headquarters in Farmers Branch.
Responsibilities- Support daily AR operations, including invoicing, payment posting, and customer account reconciliation.
- Monitor outstanding balances and assist with collection efforts to reduce overdue accounts.
- Investigate and help resolve account discrepancies and customer billing inquiries in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, and logistics teams to ensure accurate billing and smooth issue resolution.
- Assist in analyzing AR aging reports and identifying trends or risks related to past-due accounts.
- Help document, evaluate, and improve AR processes to increase efficiency and ensure policy compliance.
- Provide guidance and day-to-day support to AR associates as needed; assist with training and onboarding.
- Communicate with customers and external partners regarding payments, credits, and account status.
- Prepare AR reports and summaries for management review.
- 3–5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or related accounting roles.
- Prior experience in a lead, senior, or supervisory capacity is a plus.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and CRM tools.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas.
- Experience with payment platforms such as Shopify, , Converge, EDI, and ACH preferred.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred but not required.
