Director of Finance And Accounting

A global technology-driven organization is seeking a Director of Finance & Accounting to lead financial planning, accounting operations, and compliance across North America and Latin America (including Mexico and Chile). This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, strong controls, and forward-looking insights that support business growth and profitability.

The Director will manage a team of 10+ finance and accounting professionals and serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership across the organization.

• Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business objectives
• Partner with executive leadership to provide data-driven insights and recommendations
• Drive initiatives that improve financial performance and operational efficiency
• Lead forecasting and budgeting processes using KPIs and advanced financial modeling
• Perform detailed variance analysis and recommend corrective actions
• Partner with sales and regional leaders on pipeline analysis, project reviews, and service contracts
• Support pricing strategy development, including SaaS-related initiatives
• Implement dashboards and analytical reporting to provide real-time financial insights

• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including AP, AR, payroll, cash management, general ledger, and reporting
• Ensure accurate and timely financial statements for internal and external stakeholders
• Strengthen internal controls and accounting processes to mitigate risk

• Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and applicable regulatory requirements
• Identify and proactively manage financial and operational risks
• Lead external audit coordination and support transparency and compliance
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Conduct performance reviews and support professional development initiatives

• 10+ years of progressive experience across finance, FP&A, and accounting
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
• Strong analytical skills with excellent business judgment and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP and CRM systems
• Experience with financial planning tools (e.g., Hyperion or similar platforms)
• Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI
• Strong understanding of GAAP and/or IFRS
• Experience in software, technology, or security-related industries preferred
• Public accounting background is a plus

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• MBA preferred
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification a plus

• Fluency in English required; additional languages (Spanish, Italian, German) preferred
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to ~40%)
