Pricing Engineer

Overview

The Pricing Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies to maximize profitability and market share. The Pricing Engineer will analyze market trends, assess competitor pricing, and collaborate with various departments to ensure pricing aligns with business objectives. This role will use data-driven insights to recommend pricing adjustments and support the sales team in achieving revenue targets.

• Collaborate with the sales team to meet the needs of our customers and generate profitable pricing solutions.
• Create and implement pricing models and strategies that align with company goals.
• Construct pricing scenarios to project the impact of pricing changes on account performance.
• Prioritize and manage bid requests by analyzing and developing proposals that adhere to customers’ tight timelines.
• Suggest and implement pricing modifications based on market trends and organizational goals to attain desired financial results.
• Assess, draft, and negotiate customer tariff and contractual pricing terms.

• Superior analytical, organizational, decision-making, and critical thinking skills are essential.
• Capable of identifying the story in data and effectively communicating complex information to management.
• Detail-focused with the capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Enthusiastic about tackling new projects and expanding skill sets.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, or a STEM field of study.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite;
  Expert user in Microsoft Excel.

• Strong technical skills with basic knowledge of SQL Server or other programming languages.
• 2 years in an LTL transportation environment
