Senior Accountant

JCW is currently partnered with a US-based broker-dealer looking bring a Senior Accountant into their team to support the financial operations of the firm. This role will oversee day-to-day accounting activities, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (SEC, FINRA, GAAP), and partner closely with operations, compliance, and external auditors. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise within financial services and thrives in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

• Manage the month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Oversee general ledger accounting, including revenue recognition, expense accruals, and intercompany activity
• Ensure compliance with SEC, FINRA, and other regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., FOCUS reports)
• Prepare and review net capital computations and related schedules
• Partner with Compliance and Operations to ensure adherence to broker-dealer regulatory standards
• Support annual financial statement audits and regulatory examinations; serve as a primary point of contact for auditors

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred;
  Series 27 preferred
• 3+ years of accounting experience, including experience within a broker-dealer or financial services environment
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and broker-dealer regulatory requirements
• Hands-on experience with SEC/FINRA reporting and net capital rules
• Experience working with auditors and regulators
