Description
Hilltop Securities is looking to hire a Wealth Management Associate. The Wealth Management Associate is part of a fast-paced environment on a highly collaborative team - The Advisory Services Group (ASG) provides platforms and services to registered advisors in HTS, MIN and Correspondent firms who manage private portfolios for both high net worth individuals and institutional clients. This role will play an integral role in the success of the Advisory Services Group by converting advisory accounts, strengthening advisor relationships, performing administrative responsibilities and assisting with special projects.
Candidates will leverage their ASG team and industry experience to provide resolutions on advisor questions regarding new accounts, portfolio management and fee billing.
- Review, set up and edit new accounts, while working directly with wealth management sales supervision
- Subject matter expert on performance reporting, new account proposals and goal modifications
- Learn the essential functions of our billing system to assist the billing lead
- Learn the essential functions of our trading systems to assist the trading lead
- Assist in creating/updating ASG paperwork and processes
- Coordinate and manage special ad hoc projects as they arise
- Create and maintain relationships with new and existing Advisors
- Answer Advisor and staff questions related to advisory product processes for opening, closing, billing and trading of accounts
- Utilize advisory databases to create and maintain Advisor profiles and data on sales activity
- Provide support to the department’s Product Solutions team
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably business-related or equivalent
- 1-3 years of securities industry experience preferred, but not required
- Series 7, 63/65 or 66 highly preferred; or the ability to obtain both within the first 180 days of hire
- Experience with Envestnet preferred, not required
- A strong working knowledge of Hilltop’s custodial/back-office system (FIS) preferred, but not required
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
- Self-motivated team player and individual contributor
- Must be detail-orientated, analytical and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accurate, complete and high-quality work in a timely manner
- Ability to problem solve independently and work collaboratively with management
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills, both oral and written
