Team

As a Restructuring & Turnaround Senior Associate you will work alongside seasoned professionals across diverse industries, guided by top‑rated restructuring practitioners. You will drive value‑creating changes that preserve and amplify the performance of high‑profile organizations and their people.

How You Will Contribute

You will collaborate with companies to navigate restructuring processes and create lasting positive impacts. Your responsibilities include advising on strategy, cash conservation, liquidity management, business plan development and implementation. You will apply analytical skills and accounting/finance knowledge to turnaround, restructuring, bankruptcy and performance improvement projects. Typical engagements involve:

  • Building and managing a 13‑week cash flow forecast.
  • Building a liquidation analysis to assess the feasibility of a Plan of Reorganization.
  • Working with clients to create a long‑term business plan for tracking performance, managing working capital, and implementing cost‑reduction initiatives.
  • Implementing cash conservation strategy and controls.
  • Developing pre‑bankruptcy plans and assisting with bankruptcy case administration, including creditor constituent support and bankruptcy document preparation.
  • Supporting marketing initiatives by assisting with pitch preparation.
  • Leading a work stream within a project and coaching and mentoring junior resources.

Working as a client partner, you will build consultative relationships that deepen understanding of the client’s operations, financial positions, and key performance drivers. You will surface and address issues from the big picture to the details, presenting analyses and insights to varied audiences.

Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in corporate restructuring, investment or commercial banking, or consulting/corporate roles with a financial or accounting focus, with at least 4 years of direct restructuring experience.
  • BA/BS degree and/or MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance, or related analytical fields.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word) skills required.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Turnaround Professional (CTP), Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or progress toward such credentials preferred.
  • Understanding of Chapter 11 proceedings.
  • Advanced financial modeling experience, including building 13‑week cash flow forecasts and 3‑statement models with limited oversight.
  • Excellent organizational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging all client levels.
