Private Equity Associate - Dallas About the Role
The Associate will join this firm fast-growing, entrepreneur-led middle-market private equity platform built for professionals who want meaningful ownership, direct impact, and the opportunity to help scale something from the ground up. Backed by a recently raised fund of approximately $300 million, the firm invests in people-centric, services-oriented businesses and partners closely with management teams to drive growth through operational improvement, M&A, and thoughtful platform expansion.
The team is intentionally lean (roughly 15 professionals), highly collaborative, and deeply hands‑on. With multiple platform investments already completed and a clear runway for continued deployment and future funds, this is a rare opportunity to join a firm and grow alongside both the portfolio and the broader platform.
- Target: $20M EBITDA
- Revenue: $50M minimum
The Associate will support senior investment professionals in investment sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management functions of the firm. Specific responsibilities include:
- Financial analysis – Create financial models to analyze cash flows, investment returns, and enterprise values for new investment opportunities and existing portfolio companies
- Investment approval materials – Prepare memos and other approval materials for the Investment Committee
- Industry research – Conduct research on market size, growth prospects, demand drivers, key competitors, etc.
- Third party diligence – Facilitate diligence activities with third‑party partners (e.g., senior lenders, accountants, attorneys, IT consultants, strategy consultants)
- Portfolio management – Assist with ongoing monitoring and ad hoc strategic projects for portfolio companies
Associate applicants should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in investment banking, leveraged finance or management consulting.
