Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the accounting for equity transactions, including share-based compensation, repurchases, and issuances.
- Research, analyze, and conclude on complex transactions, including leases, impairment, debt arrangements, derivatives, consolidation and other significant matters.
- Partner with outsourced tax professionals to oversee the income tax accounting process
- Prepare well-documented technical accounting memos for management, auditors, and external stakeholders.
- Monitor new accounting standards and lead implementation projects.
- Own the accounting policy function by drafting and maintaining corporate accounting policies across revenue, leasing, consolidation, tax, and other key areas.
- Perform disclosure benchmarking to ensure best-in-class financial statement presentation.
- Support the financial reporting team in preparing SEC filings, ensuring disclosures are complete and accurate.
- Support the GL and financial reporting teams in the monthly and quarterly close process for complex areas.
- Collaborate with external auditors by preparing supporting schedules and technical documentation.
- Provide accounting insight to management for strategic initiatives and transactions.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain internal controls related to equity transactions, income taxes, and other technical accounting areas
