Title: Associate Director, Fixed Income Index Calculation and Distribution
Responsibilities and ImpactThe team is primarily responsible for the daily calculation, validation and dissemination of fixed income indices and associated data. The successful candidate will manage a team of analysts responsible for the production of global, S&P and iBoxx‑branded Fixed Income indices, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and integrity. Collaborating with cross‑functional teams, the Associate Director will ensure calculation inputs are validated, oversee calculations and analyze corporate events while staying abreast of market trends to inform decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of analysts responsible for the validation of inputs used for index calculation to ensure data integrity, including corporate action analysis, price validation and market data assessment.
- Perform quality assurance validations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the index values to be distributed to clients.
- Oversee and optimize daily operating processes for global indices, proactively investigating system alerts and coordinating with the technology team to resolve issues efficiently.
- Manage product delivery ensuring timely dissemination of intraday and end‑of‑day index data to clients and end users.
- Collaborate with the technology development team to drive automation and enhance system capabilities.
- Cultivate and maintain key relationships with other groups within the department and across other departments, particularly Product Management, Client Coverage, Index Services and Technology Teams.
- Lead the integration of new products into the daily operations cycle.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of analysts located across different geographical locations in the Americas, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance work environment.
Base Salary: $93,144 to $133,455 (US candidates only; varies by geography, experience, skills, certifications). Eligible for an annual incentive plan and additional S&P Global benefits. Compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.
QualificationsBasic
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Mathematics, Economics, IT, Finance disciplines.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in financial services or analytics, preferably within fixed income.
- In‑depth understanding of financial markets, asset classes, and company fundamentals.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and motivating a team of analysts.
- Proficient in Microsoft products, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical, quantitative and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Additional
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with databases (SQL) and programming languages such as Python, VBA.
