Financial Analyst
Dallas, TX – Hybrid (2-3 days onsite)
Vaco is partnering with one of our long‑time asset management clients in an effort to onboard a highly analytical Financial Analyst with advanced Excel and strong mathematical skillsets to support the valuation, pricing, and financial modeling of contracts tied to the company’s physical assets. Vaco has placed several folks in the organization this last year and we’ve received great feedback on company culture and leadership.

Compensation: $100‑125K + Bonus
Key Responsibilities- Build, maintain, and enhance advanced Excel‑based financial models to calculate and evaluate asset‑related contracts
- Analyze contract structures involving physical assets, including pricing, terms, utilization, depreciation, and lifecycle costs
- Perform quantitative analysis to support contract valuation, ROI, profitability, and risk assessment
- Develop standardized calculation frameworks and templates to ensure consistency and accuracy across contracts
- Partner with operations, legal, and commercial teams to interpret contract terms and translate them into financial models
- Validate assumptions, inputs, and outputs to ensure mathematical and financial integrity
- Conduct scenario, sensitivity, and break‑even analyses to support decision‑making
- Prepare clear, concise financial summaries and recommendations for leadership
- Identify process improvements and automation opportunities within Excel and related tools
- Support audits and internal reviews by providing documentation and explanation of contract calculations
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, contract modeling, asset valuation, or a similar analytical role
- Advanced Excel skills required, including complex formulas, nested functions, lookup functions, pivot tables, and data validation
- Strong mathematical and quantitative skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience modeling contracts tied to physical or capital‑intensive assets preferred
