Director - Office​/Industrial Asset Management

Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, L&B Realty Advisors, is a real estate investment advisor with approximately $10 billion in assets under management. Founded in 1965, the firm provides real estate investment management services to institutional investors and high-net-worth individuals. Clients include public and private pension plans, sovereign wealth funds, Taft-Hartley pension plans, endowments, foundations, and private investors. The firm is comprised of two distinct functions: investment management and independent fiduciary services.

As an investment manager, the firm executes full-service investment management from acquisition to asset management to disposition. As an independent fiduciary, the firm provides financial advisory and owner representation services.

L&B Realty Advisors is looking for a Director of Office/Industrial Asset Management reporting to the Executive Vice President of Asset Management. This position is located at L&B’s Headquarters, is full-time, and will require the candidate to work in-office Monday – Thursday (with ability to work remote on Fridays).

• Create strategic objectives for each property consistent with the investment strategy
• Develop tactical plans that support the strategy
• Monitor asset performance and market dynamics/changes

• Manage all aspects of the asset operations, leasing and management including oversight of third-party property management and leasing teams
• Work with internal and external teams toward implementation of strategies for all assigned assets
• Drive value by capitalizing on opportunities and development of solutions to challenges
• Provide leasing leadership including negotiation, analysis, and preparation of recommendations
• Coordinate and manage construction projects
• Direct ad valorem tax administration
• Overall accountability for financial performance of each investment

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual investor reports including budgets and asset management plans
• Work with appraisers and review property appraisals as required by client policies
• Prepare and/or review internal valuations
• Preparation of materials for Investment Committee presentations

• Assist and coordinate the takeover and management of new acquisitions
• Coordinate the disposition procedure for properties
• Implement property operations policies and procedures
• Special projects as assigned
• Minimum of 10+ years of Office/Industrial Asset Management experience; including experience acting as an Asset Manager (or equivalent) and analytical experience
• Experience with Hospitality assets is not a requirement but considered a plus
• MS Word, Excel, and Argus experience (required)
• Must possess strong analytical, communication, organizational, and computer skills
• Familiarity with cash flow modeling including return calculations for wholly owned assets and promote structures

• Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration or Accounting degree
