Accounting Manager

Overview

We re recruiting for a Fund Accounting Manager in Dallas, TX.

• Oversee day-to-day fund accounting activities for multiple investment funds, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closes
• Review and approve NAV calculations, capital activity (capital calls, distributions), and investor allocations
• Ensure accurate preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Manage and review cash reconciliations, investment activity, management fees, and expense allocations
• Coordinate with third-party fund administrators, auditors, and tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Support annual audits and tax filings by providing documentation and responding to inquiries
• Monitor compliance with fund agreements, accounting policies, and internal controls
• Prepare and review investor reporting, including capital statements and performance reporting
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and controls
• Lead, mentor, and develop junior fund accounting staff, as applicable

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred)
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with direct fund accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of investment fund structures (e.g., private equity, hedge funds, real estate, or similar)
• In-depth understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Experience working with fund administrators and external auditors
